Vegetarian ikan bilis

It is crispy and crunchy. Slightly salty and is good to go with porridge. Not really suitable for toddler and young children. But it is one snack that I enjoy a lot.

Seaweed (10 pieces per packet)
Beancurd skins (2 pieces)
Plain flour
Oil for frying


  1. Wipe the beancurd skins to remove the saltiness. Cut each beancurd skins to 6 smaller pieces .
  2. Mix plain flour and water.
  3. Fold seaweed into the beancurd skin. When folding the beancurd skin, apply the flour batter. Keep folding till it is rectangular in shape.
  4. Steam the finished product for 10 minutes. Find something heavy to press the beancurd skin down. Keep in the fridge overnight once they are cool.
  5. Cut them into smaller pieces. Fry them in hot oil till they are slightly brown.
  6. Cool and stored them.
