lily bulb is a Chinese ingredient that helps to relieve cough, dry throat, clear heat and moist lung. It helps to promote sleep too. Suitable for both adult and kid.
Pork soft bones
Dates (use at least 2)
Nam Shui pear (optional)
Salt to taste
- Wash the dried lily bulb and dates.
- Boil the water and put the lily bulb, dates and soft bones in. You can add the pear too.
- Boil the soup and reduce heat. Continue to cook for at least 1 hour.
- Add some salt to taste.
Mum mum’s notes:
The pear may cause the soup to taste slightly bitter and hence it is optional to add the pear. Nam shui pear, if cooked, helps to relieve cough and moist lung too.
