My boy simply loves tau hway. Because it is soft and easy to eat, so it makes a very good snack. The ones that hawker sold is usually mixed with gypsum power (石膏粉 ), which is not good for young children. So I decided to make the tau hway myself. A super shortcut method to make this pudding.. And it took me less than 10 minutes to cook.

850 ml Soya bean milk
3 tsp gelatin powder

  1. Pour the soya bean milk into a pot and add in the gelatin powder. Soak and wait for around 5 minutes
  2. Put the pot over medium fire and cook till gelatin powder dissolves. Make sure that the soya bean milk does not boil.
  3. Pour the soya bean milk into containers.
  4. Let them cool and put in the fridge for at least 8 hours or overnight.

Mum mum’s notes:
The end product is really soft. If you like harder tau hway, you can add a bit more gelatin powder. You can replace it with jelly powder too.
